Foy admits his light project represents about 2,000 hours of work which means folks better enjoy this season as the light show might take another brief hiatus. Mike Aulert and his wife Keeley brought their son Theo and dog Ivy to see the holiday light show at the house of Brett Foy, who lives in the 900 block of Ekman Drive in Batavia. The home is a beacon of light for hundreds of visitors that queue up nightly to see the home that Foy, 47, and family have occupied the past five years. This year’s show includes 70 minutes of music with 20 different songs along with “every color possible” being displayed along with the music, he said.
Moeller started tinkering with projection mapping and quickly taught himself how to diagram his own home and create light projection shows on it. Calling it “a theatrical performance of music and light,” the show lasts 35 minutes and includes 14 songs that play in the same order in a continuous loop. Brett Foy said "there are literally weeks of effort" putting the lights display together each year at the home. Foy, 49, said this is the fifth year he had offered an animated light show, but that his years of decorating with holiday lights goes back much farther.
